The Western tradition of chamber music has taken hold worldwide. The development of this global tradition in individual regions and countries of the world, however, is clearly shaped by local history, culture and environment. This season, the Oakwood Chamber Players examine the works of composers from four distinct regions to explore the impact that “place” can have on the genre of chamber music.
